This morning I received my CPC catalogue and they are selling the Canon i-SENSYS LBP5000 colour laser printer for £110!
The last time I looked at colour lasers they were £5,000 a piece. Anyway, I digress.
I had a look at the cost of the toner for the printer and here are the prices:
Black - £43.77
Cyan - £52.09
Magenta - £52.09
Yellow - £52.09
Giving a grand total of £200.04 (excluding delivery). Therefore, apart from waste, why bother buying toner when you could just keep on buying a new printer every time the supplied toner cartridges run out?
You'd be saving yourself £90.04 - almost the price of a new printer!
I know this is only one example and it's the same with ink jets too.
Cheers
