Canon fit macro lenses

    Can people recommend a macro lens that works well with the canon 450d - I would want to take extreme closeups of insects / flowers / if possible water droplets / icicles etc but don't want to spend a fortune!

    Anybody recommend anything suitable?

    The Tamron 90mm is pretty highly regarded.

    The 90mm focal length means it's also great for portraits and even a general walkaround.

    It's relatively cheap too and really sharp with great colours.
