I have for sale a 70-200 f2.8 is mark 2 boxed with everything it came with. It's in very good condition with the only marks I can see on the hood.

I am looking for £1000 plus delivery or I'll consider trades with sigma art primes. I'd actually prefer to trade but we'll see what's available.

There is no warranty with this and since it was bought second hand by me I don't know whether it was UK stock or from abroad. These things mean very little to me but I know I'll get asked so there's your answer.

    Regards

    Scott

I've got a pristine mp-e 65mm which I've not used much if you're interested in trading for the 70-200mm mk2...

I've never considered this as I believe it's a very specialised lens. Let me have a read about it and I'll get back to you tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest.

    Hi there,
I'm going to pass on this although it looks spectacular. According to the reviews you need to use a macro flash which I've not got.

I was considering a macro as it doubles as a 100 mm portrait lens and this lens doesn't. Thanks for the offer though. If I had the budget I'd get one of these too. Looks like endless fun

    Regards

    Scott

No problem Scott. Yeah, I've got the flash...works great together. I have the 100mm is and 180mm Canon macro lenses. I like them all for differing reasons, I used the 65 the least hence the offer. Anyway GLWT.

Thanks mate. I've recently started a full time photography course after taking redundancy and as I am into portraiture I bought the 70-200 but I'm struggling to complete some still life etc due to focal length and we have landscapes coming up. As much as I love my lens it's not a one lens does all and I can't afford to buy more so I need to trade it to cover more bases so to speak.

Ahhh I see! Yeah...have you tried the Canon 85mm 1.8, that's not expensive, got mine off here, I think. Or the Canon 50mm 1.4 that's not too expensive . ..although the 85mm is probably the better portrait lens. I use the 70-200mm for portraits it's very good. The 100mm 2.8 is macro is nice for portraits as well. Also the Canon 24-70mm 2.8 mk1 (or f4 is) around £500-600 is really nice.
This is not to say Tamron Sigma etc are not good. I just don't own any nor used any...

I traded my sigma 50mm art and my canon 100mm L macro for this 70-200. I really love the zoom but it's making life difficult for me. I'll probably end up selling it and buying as it's doubtful I'll get a trade. Fingers crossed though.
