    :lease:

I have a Panasonic NV-DS38 and a friend mistakenly connected an incorrectly rated popwer supply to it as we wanted to use the camcorder directly on mains power. The other AC adapter has the same plug into the camera, but is rated at 18.5v - 3.5A. It's for a laptop computer. My Panasonic is rated at the DC in socket as 7.9v. I don't know the ampage.
Apparently the three lights 'camera,' 'vcr' and 'card p.b.' flashed on for the split second the DC input from the laptop adapter was connected. Now, the camera is useless, either on a fully-charged battery on on correct DC power. Is it dead? Is there an internal fuse that can be replaced? I know this is a problem of our own making, but it was a genuine mistake :-(
    Thanks!

it may possible have a internal fuse.

    then again it may not.

me personally if it still under warranty i would contact them
saying it stopped working while u have it running off the mains adaptor.

if no warranty. then take it for a free repair quote at a place that repairs camcorder.....

    best way imo..
