Cannot get wireless Xbox live

I bought the official Xbox 360 Network Wireless adapter to get Xbox Live wireless.

I went to system settings on the Xbox and with the help of Xbox customer support entered the WEP key. However it did not connect wirelessly.

I have Orange broadband via Livebox. Do I need another wireless router?

The desktop PC uses a wired connection to Livebox.

I tried several times to make it work but failed
