Hello my wifes HP laptop running Windows 10 has suddenly stopped loading some websites via either Chrome or Firefox. (same websites both browsers)

    Typical examples:-

    John Lewis, National Trust OK

    Autotrader, HSBC not OK

Have flushed the DNS cache and reset TCP/IP as suggested on several Google results but to no avail.

Other PC's/Tablets/phones on same network give no problems.

    Any other suggestions gratefully received

    Thanks

OK an update. Obviously apart from the above my wife has continued to use her laptop for other routine reasons. I checked on Saturday that the problem still existed and was thus contemplating taking it to our excellent no fix no fee software/hardware independent today.

However this morning my wife informed me she had received an automatic Firefox update.

I then found that i could access all the previously non- accessible websites not only in Firefox but also Chrome. I do not understand why a problem in Firefox should also have impeded Chrome?

Whatever problem solved. Just hope it doesn't return!

I note that my original post has received well over 100 views - thanks for looking
