Cannot change message tone on N95

Active Member

Just upgraded to the latest Firmware (Ver 30.0.015) after debranding my replacement N95 from o2 and now only get 3 options on changing tones on all settings in personalization:-

1 - Download tone
2 - Default
3 - Off

and that's it. Is this a known bug or is it something I have done wrong? I can change the ring tone no problem because it allows you to do so in the music player but can't do it for anything else, is there a work around or is it a bug?

Thanks in advance

I've just been googling and found a few other with the same problem, might be a long shot but try this:

Go to Gallery, then Tracks, then Options, and select Refresh Music Library.

Then try the message tone again, il keep hunting just incase though.

Something else i found too:

Just to let you all know I have found out what the problem is. I have a 2GB card full of mp3''s. The list is too big to select from so I do not get an option to pick one from the file. If I remove the memory card I can select one from the internal memory.

By the looks of it your gonna have to put the tune/tone into the phones memory, remove the memory card and then select the tune/tone you want.

Hope this helps.
