There's a re-release DVD of Candyman coming on the 17th August (region 1)

It's much better than the original, but still lacking somewhat. Here's the features list:

    1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
    English and French Dolby Surround
    English, French and Portuguese subtitles
    Filmmaker's Commentary
    Clive Barker: Raising Hell featurette
Sweets to the Sweet: The Candyman Mythos featurette
    Bernard Rose Storyboards
    Previews

There's no bloody DD5.1 or DTS, that's just CRIMINAL!

Whats more important is it Uncut?? As all previous dvd releases have been cut. Yet Channel 4 have shown the uncut version many times.

Looks like the usual R Rated version which means it will be cut, and no sound remix :(

I'm tempted to buy but think i will avoid and wait for some future release from another country.

This movie really deserves an uncut, 2 disc special edition with DTS and Dolby 5.1 soundtracks. Surely it can't be that hard to do? Imagine how good all the background music would sound in 5.1, makes me all the more disappointed with this release

Though nothing will ever compare with the disappointment of the Region 2 "special edition" of Friday 13th! It's a freakin' budget DVD! Sure it's uncut, but that's all it's got going for it :(
