Can someone help... it's obvious that there are some DVD sellers in these countries that can get DVD's very cheap. However do I need to be concerned about import tax (especially on bigger items).

CD-WOW send DVD's from abroad but will pay any charges, are there any of these overseas sellers that do the same thing?

You may have noticed that I'm new to buying DVDs!!

EZDVD are not custom friendly - I've been hit a couple of times in the past.

I've just ordered about £60 off DVDsoon (canada) so I'll find out about them :)

    Graham,

let us know about DVDsoon - should be interesting to see how the send it (seperate or all together) - has a bit of an impact on customs charges!!

It'll be a delay on that - I've requested one single parcel and one of the disks has a 4th March delivery date

    I got free delivery tho:D

Personally I like A&B sound, not customs friendly with box sets from what I've heard, but IMHO their shipping is very sensible on single DVDs, which cost about £12.50 delivered, and usually arrive within five days.

    regards

Is that why, no matter what I order, they always mark up the parcel at between $10 or $20 then? ;)

You must've had insured delivery by courier or something to get hit.

They don't even put invoices in the parcels!

You can't get more customs friendly than that :)

    I agree with you SG.
Perhaps it's because we're loyal customers that they mark
the parcels up at a lower price in order to avoid customs
charges as a reward for our continued custom.
I've even ordered a few box sets that have been marked
    up at less than $20!
They're definately one of the best online retailers around
at the moment and will continue to get my support. :smashin:
