Hi just asking for some advice I have a Sky box at the moment on a standard package I'm thinking of

cancelling that package and just pay Sky £10 a month to keep that recording functionality of the box if I do that

what HD channels am I likely to get would I still get all the secondary ones ITV4 ITV2 ect if not can you just

pay say for the extra HD channels or would I be as well just getting a Freesat box then no subscription to pay at all any advice would be helpful.

Take out the card and you'll quickly find out!
It's not worth 10 a month for recording.

Get a freesat recorder.. It will pay for its self in 2 years for the amount you would pay sky just for the recording function.

As Logi says take the card out and surf through the HD list this will show you those available on both your existing Sky box and also on a Freesat box (although not all on the EPG) + plus Insight HD on a Sky box with your cancelled sub viewing card.

Definitely not ITV2HD, ITV3HD or ITV4HD at present,

There's far more options than just Freesat [good as it is] , there's nearly 500 HD channels free on motorised satellite [& English is popular thankfully [albeit with an American accent]] - plus 10s of 1000s of sports feeds in broadcast quality HD, some in very high studio quality above B R & you can still get the channels that are on Freesat / unrestricted recording & even 'editing; recordings.
