Cancelled mid-repair?!

As I have been experiencing RROD problems, I sent my xbox off to microsoft to be fixed on the 10th. Every day since then I have been signing into my account and checking the status of the repair, my console apparently arrived in Frankfurt this morning
However, when I signed in 10 minutes ago, the website told me I had no repairs pending. Looking up my service request ID it tells me that my repair has been cancelled?
So what the hell do I do now, as they still have my console but the repair has apparently been cancelled by someone?!

Dont panic just yet.

It might mean that they have decided that your console is beyond economic repair and are sending you a new one ?.

Thats what I was hoping to avoid, its always some indian person who can never understand what im saying on the other end of the line when I ring the xbox helpline

Besides, if they were sending a replacement it would surely say so under the status of my repair, not just "you have no repairs pending", and when i search the request ID it says "repair cancelled"?

Well it's a fact of life that helplines generally aren't very helpful
But you'll just have to grin and bear it and ring them, if you genuinely can't understand them or they you, then ask to speak to someone else, once you're polite and generally trying they can't refuse any reasonable request, give it a try...

sorry it wont be a new one but a second hand repaired one, I did the same thing , sent mine away for a free repair (ROD) and got back a second had one, not as clean as my old one.

traded it in today at a local computer shop , off back to game at the weekend to get a new one and take out the warrenty for a extra year.

Yeah, I also mentioned this in another thread, sorry, I lost track of which one I had posted an update in.

Thing is, they've given me a new repair request and a new shipping label, but because my console was already in Frankfurt by the time they gave me the new request, it hasnt recognised my console is at the repair centre and still says waiting for console.
So hopefully it will get fixed / replaced and sent back reasonably soon.

Got an email today telling me my xbox has been received at the repair centre (even though the guy on the phone told me on monday it was already there!). So a bit of a relief, just gotta wait for it to be sent back now
