    Hi,

I'm currently out in Singapore at the moment and am considering buying a DVD recorder. All players seem to be multi-region out here, however as Singapore is region 3 does that mean that any DVD recordings I make are region 3 or are they region free. Sorry if it's a daft question!!!

DVD Recorders do not assign region coding to recordings made on them - so any recordings you make in Singapore will indeed by Region Free.

If you planning to buy a DVD recorder to bring back to the UK do note their may be 'issues' such as different tuners etc.

...didn't think they would record in a particular region but just thought I'd better check. As for the tuner issue I will look into it, however, I would be using SKY for my recordings anyway.
