Hi guys, im just curious, im planning on buying a 6.1 setup caus i cant have 7.1 (wires pre installed) so im just curious, can i use a 7.1 reciever to power my 6.1 speaker setup??? I was going to buy the Cambridge Audio Azur 540r (6.1 reciever)but im also considering some HK 7.1 recievers and most impotantly the Jamo AVR-793 reciever which is also 7.1. so what do you guys reckon???

    Hi

Most will give you the option of selecting whether you have one or two Surround Back speakers. :)

As Jase said most (if not all) will give you the option to select which speakers are present in a surround system!

In the rare (and wierd) event that an amp does not allow you to select - just run it as a 7.1 setup since in most cases (basically non-THX Ultra 2 amps) the output will be the same on both surround-rears!
