    Hiya i am new to the forums, i want to get a HD ready tv for my room just after x-mas to play my xbox 360 on and was wondering if i can pick up any descent tv's for around £350 ? If so can you :lease: post links for me. I have found one but i dont know if it is any good, it is a Samsung SM730MP 17" and is £360.

    Try the LCD forum, far more likely to know of smaller and cheaper panels that would suit basic TV viewing and Xbox360.

    I have reservations about finding a HD Ready LCD that small at this time, granted they will be more abundant when HDCP (or similar) is incorporated into PC's to allow HD content using the next gen rom drives.

    As for the SM730MP that model isn't widescreen which might be an issue and you don't actually need a HD Ready display for the 360 since it's HD games will be accessible via component and probably the VGA output.

    Fairly high refresh rate which may cause smearing issues with both TV and games, both PC monitors and TV's are getting refresh rates into the low teens and even single figures.

    Do a forum search on the 17PF4310 though, brings up 8 threads and some posters have offered alternatives:)
