I can get these two Panasonic sets for practically the same money (PZ is 100€ more).

    I'm looking from 3 to 3,5 meters.
In my opinion from this distance 1080p is no different than 720p and I'd go with PX80, which is newer model.

What do you think? Can you comment on my decision. Is there any real difference between these two sets regardless 1080p PZ capability?

    Regards, TomazO!!

    Hi tomazo:)

I'd go for the px80 in fact i will be soon when the old crt eventually dies
at your viewing distance and screen size your right about 1080p
making little or no difference so go for the newer model,
plus it will accept a 1080p 24 signal and down scale it.

for what its worth thats my opinion

    regards

I think your decision is wise. Not only is the PX80 newer, it consumes lesser energy, is lighter in weight and has better blacks. It can do 24P without judders and does not have fans, so no fan-noise can interfere your viewing later on after a few years :)
