    Hello to all of you tv fans

    I own a panny which is only 2 years old and it works perfect, but..........when Im whatching a dvd I get a horizontal problem. but it only happens in the background when there is a straight line...only in the background...not foreground. the funny thing is that it never happens when im watching regular tv......never,

    please help

    I use a JVC dvd player and it runs through the RGB scart.

    can you try S-video either via scart or via S-video sockets?

    s-video via socket........but have not tried s-video before in my life........is s-video better than rgb?

    what is the horizontal problem? rgb is better.

    the way a TV handles the signals is different and some TV's notably Panny Acuity sets perform far better with S-video than RGB RGB or RGBS to give it its full title is unique to scart and europe and sometimes Far eastern/ US manufacturers dont get it quite right.....

    ok thanx.........the problem is that it bows a little every time there is a straight line in the background........but the picture is perfect otherwise and don`t have this issue with regular programs........I think its the RGB socket behind my tv is the problem

    I now know what the problem is........I had the contrast at 90%. A voltage issue maybee. But the problem still didnt happen with regular programs.Weird.

    anyway thanx for your help people
