You should be able to set up a manual recording - but you will have to put in the date, times, and channel manually.

In manual recording it just loops from TODAY, FRIDAY, SAT, SUN, MON, TUES, WED, TODAY

    Etc

so it still doesnt let me choose anything further than a weeks time

IIRC correctly, you can set the above to record on a weekly frequency.

So set it for the 1st week (and get an unwanted recording) but the 2nd week will get what you want.

    RDB :)

To be honest, I've never tried a manual recording. I've learned something new too. I think the limiting factor in the EPG is memory space to store more than 7 days, but I'd love Sky to prove me wrong with a 14 day EPG

If it doesn't have the memory to store 2 weeks, then why not cache to the HD? Obvious really, with at least 40gb of storage. Is a bit amateur hour is the Sky+ software. Just look at the clunky GUI, and the amazingly rubbish planner and A-Z listings. I mean would it kill them to allow 2 character searches (press A, page down, page down...etc etc etc), or perhaps even grouping of same program names. I mean how many pages of big brother do you have to scroll through to get to the next program. At least group into one option for the program then move to a new screen with all the dates and times when you select it. Pretty bloody simple really. Cheap and tacky programmers and designers basically. Actually stuff Big brother, there is only a couple of pages there, look at BBC News instead; something like 10 pages of the same bloody thing... grrrrr...

Wouldn't it be great though if they made the SDK open source? We would kiss goodbye to rubbish GUI's in days. Unfortuantly Sky don't give a monkeys because we are a captive audience. Not as if NTL are going to put up a decent fight to Sky+ anytime soon...

    Cheers
