    hi there,

i'm thinking of ordering the following from av sales

    (PS116) - Panasonic TH-37PW7B Plasma Screen
    (PSA179A) - Scart Terminal Board
    (PSA013S) - Slimline Desk Stand
    (PSA169B) - Speakers TY-SP37P7WS
    (PSA179J) - HDMI Component Board

i don't need a tuner as i'll be connecting cable.

is this there anything more i must have?
    are the speakers good?

would this produce a better picture (dvd/cable) than a hitachi 37pd5200?

You would be better to have a component input board and a JS transcoder for cable, or a JS - VGA transcoder then to have teh scart board.
But apart from that you are set to go.

And I personally prefer the image on teh Panny, but we all like different things, demo possible?

HD an co. Now that the Panny HDMI card is out is there any chance that someone could post one definitive thread on what the PW6/7 does support thru HDMI/DVI. i.e. between DVD (PAL/NTSC) and [probable] Sky HD etc. What is it that it does not support?
I've seen threads 100s long but not one definitive answer.
Oh and PS - are you still opting for component being the best DVD connection (have you seen HDMI on the PWs?). Just asking :)

Banjo - the supported resolutions are still the same as we always thought they would be and as are posted now on countless threads!! The important bit is there is no 720p @ 50Hz support (the type of signal Sky HD may use, and the type of signal created by upsampling DVD players from a PAL DVD). Same for Hitachi IIRC (don't know cos I don't tend to sell them)

For the chaps setup, take Gizlarocs advice if the scart board is purely for NTL/Sky/Freeview... but not if you also intend to use it for an s-video or composite video input too (VCRs, games consoles with their standard cables) as the converter boxes are RGB only so only suited to digital set top boxes and DVD players which can produce an RGB signal.
