I have the Tosh 36ZT29 with its NTSC Progressive capability...

My Pioneer is great with R1 disks (in Progressive), but my R2 disks via the component outputs are only displayed in interlace mode..

Using my Xbox (with mod chip), I can display R1 and R2 disks in NTSC Progressive...

Can I make my 757 do this ?

    Regards,
    Dom

Why don't you use the proggressive option on the TV? The set has a reasonable line doubler, and I've always had satisfactory results with PAL discs on this setting. I'm sure it's a better option than converting PAL to NTSC.

Good point.. but even with 'progress' mode turned on there some noticable 'saw-tooth' artifacts on horizontal panning shots, which incidentally the Xbox does a good job in eliminating..

I'd just like to try R2 Pal -> NTSC Progressive using the 757ai..
I vaguely remember reading that the Tosh 520 can do this, but the results are supposed to be poor.

    Regards,
    Dom
