Can the monitor sit on the HP Pavillion Slimline desktop case?

I would like to buy a HP Pavillion Slimline like this one:

Can I lay flat the desktop case so that the monitor sits on it? The reason is I want to save space as much as possible.

No reason why not computers can be either way round.
