Can the Denon AVR 2805 / AVR2805 take RGB directly?

Hi All

Does anyone know whether the Denon AVR2805 can take in RGB directly? I know it has component inputs but not sure whether it covers RGB as well as YUV.

Think I simultanously asked a very similar question a couple of threads up (laptop VGA -> 2805). I have a feeling if it's YUV only then my question has just been answered also.

No they only take Component not RGB. You would need an RGB to component convertor before the amp.

Is the OP asking if the 2805 will do the 'RGB+Composite Sync' switching trick via the component inputs ? AFAICS, it might do it so long as the video input is set to 'component mode' (i.e., no conversion of any kind on the composite input) but I wouldn't like to be any more hopeful than that. Read the thread and dare yourself to make a lead up and try it
