Do any on-line retails do the Arcam DV88 and do they do good discounts.

I know that its hard if not impossible to get good prices quality HiFi products and expect the same to be true for the DV88.

I know you are looking for a SVCD capable player John, but I am holding off to see what the reviews are like on the new Cyrus DVD player, I think it will be a viable option to the Arcam, I have been told that it will play MP3's and will be using the Zoran chipset like the Arcam, so multiregion etc will be available on it. It will sell for £1000. And I know Cyrus will do a better job of the remote than Arcams effort.

The remote doesn't bother me too much, as I have a Pronto..

The problem is the price.. Even the Arcam blows my budget.. But its still a possiblity..

But I can't justify any more..

Whats the Cyrus going to offer extra over the Arcam?

"what's the Cyrus going to offer"

To be honest details are a bit sketchy, hence the wait for the reviews etc. My interest is that I have a monoblocked Cyrus system gathering dust in my back room, so if I trade in my Dad3Q-24 and Toshiba SD200E it will cost me about £300 to get a player in the same league as the Arcam. That simple.
