Hey everyone, hoping someone can give me some guidance.
I'm looking at extending the DC output of a soundbar power supply. I've tried to find connector extensions, but not had any joy. I know is a single core shielded cable that's 18 awg - but I'm struggling to find matching cable in the UK, I only need about 3 meters.
So the question is this -
I'm fairly sure the shield is being used as an earth. If I just splice two 18 awg cables in parallel (on to the shield, and one to the core) will that work OK?
To provide as much information as I can - the transformer outputs 24v at 2.5A
Any guidance would be much appreciated!
