Hi

Heres my system setup:

ASUSTeK Computer INC.
System Model: A7N8X2.0
BIOS Version: Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS A7N8X2.0 Deluxe ACPI BIOS Rev 1008

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+
Version: x86 Family 6 Model 10 Stepping 0
Speed: 1829 MHz

It has a SATA onboard chipset 3112, will this be ok?

From what I understand Onboard chipsets (like the Silicon Image 3112 on the mobo) arent a prob - jus pci sata cards, this true?

Apparently not. SI3112 is apparently the worst. The only known SoA board to work flawlessly is the NF7-S2G with SATA mapped as IDE.

However, I've just replaced my NF7 with a KT880 SoA board which works fine, probably because it has the lovely VT8237 chipset.

You could always get a xecuter kit and reflash, they work with anything, but these only one reson to flash - and thats illegal
