Could a video device such as a PC video card send such a bad signal to a projector as to cause damage? I have an NEC HT1000. I have never been able to get the color right. After about 30 mintutes to 1 hour of use, the color palatte goes off, and blue becomes pink. This happens with multiple input sources: lap top, PC, DVD, TV. I have had the main board changed twice and a sub-board once. Same problem persists. I am using an ATI video card on my PC with a passive converter that goes from DVI to component. The component signal then runs through my Denon amp and on to the projector. But even when I directly connect the PC to the projector with a VGA cable I have the same problem. In fact, even with no input, the screen goes from blue to pink after an hour. Is my PC destroying my projector, or is my repair shop just failing to repair the problem by replacing circuit boards?
