Hi guys, first post.so be gentle......

My wife has moved the front room around and has now put the 32" tv in a corner!!! So my Polk RT8's floorstanders wont fit :(

I was thinking of using the Mission DS77's as front and the Polk's as rears and buying a sub to make up the difference in bass.

I also have a CS250 Polk centre speaker.

    Will this work?

Or cos' the Missions are 2 way Bi-polar does that complicate things?

    Cheers

No. Bi-pole speakers as mains is the worst sounding idea I've heard in a while. Yeuck. Steer well clear!

Only thing you could try is a sub-sat speaker package, either that or ignore the wife?:D

In my opinion, it will sound awful. Just got some 77Ds to diffuse my rear sound field, and they really complete the surround effect, so in my opinion, totally inappropriate for front duties. Especially if you listen to stereo music on the system too.

If i were you i'd get a new wife, but then again, i'm only 21, so i guess she could have her benefits, i don't know. :D

Failing that, sell your wife, buy a set of Gallos and decent sub?;)

Why not connect up your bipole rear speakers at the front together with mismatched centre and watch a film with it like that. Unless Mrs Garbage_Guy has cloth ears she will dislike the sound and change the room back again

Cheers lads, she did suggest buying a sub/sat package, but I was just trying to save a few pennies.
I think I'll try to keep the Polk RT8's as rears as they have a very powerfull bass.
I was reading in another thread that the new MJ Accoustics 100 sub gets good reviews which satelites would go well with it?
