I have an X-Rite Eye-One (i1) for profiling my PC monitors and printers. Can I use this, with suitable software, to calibrate my LED/LCD TV screen. What software? Presumably this would run on a laptop connected via HDMI?
Perhaps the economics of buying software for one job would mean engaging a calibration service might be cheaper. Grateful for any advice.

Quite simply - yes you can.

You can use paid for software such as CalMan or ChromaPure if you want to go that way.

Alternately you could use HCFR which is open source with one of the freely available callibration pattern disks.

Will be a useful reference for you.

Thanks, Ghostrider, I'll follow these up.
