    Hi all,

I have a Pentax Optio S that I bought from France and I use in the UK.
I am currently in the US. My question is, can I use the European charger here in the US to charge my camera? I am asking because of the difference in electricity and I am not sure.

    Thanks for the help.

Virtually all battery chargers sold in Europe can be used around the world without problem, Just check that on the battery charger label it says something like "110 - 240 Volts" - if it does go ahead - the biggest problem you may have is that the plug on your charger wont fit the US sockets and you'll have to buy an adapter.

    Thanks for the reply.

I checked my charger and it says:

    INPUT: AC 100 - 240 V ~ 50-60Ηz 6W 0.1A

    OUTPUT: DC4.2V

Does that mean that I can use it in the States?

    Many thanks.

Yes, the USA power is 110v @ 60hz which is within the specs you listed of the charger so it should work fine.
