hi all, im thinking about getting one of those cheap Packard Bell PB TV100 cards for £30 from PC world to use with dscaler but I would also like to be able to record from my sky box at a decent resolution and frame rate. would this card let me capture at say 640x480 at 25fps or even 720x576 with audio going into my soud card straight from the sky box?

    thanks

    Yes, you can.

virtualdub+vcr will let you capture at 768x576@25 once you apply a 1-line registry fix seen here.

Here is a composite capture from dscaler.

You can see it is quite blurry.

I've not got it set up for SVideo at the moment.
