I have just rented Rocknrolla from my local Blockbuster store. Inside there is a leaflet about getting a digital copy of the film complete with a code. Now obviously this is what you get if you buy the film but as it is rented where would I stand on this? could I actually put the disc in my PC and get the digital copy to keep before returning it? What if a previous renter has already done this? Would that prevent me from doing the same? Basically Blockbuster should remove these leaflets from their rental copies if it is not permitted. So not sure what to do really. I suppose I am asking if it is legal to do this from a rented copy.

I would say it is illegal as the dvd is not yours but belongs to Blockbuster as you only rented it and not bought it.

Afer watching it I dont think i will bother. I gave up on it after an hour. just went nowhere. No plot. Just a load of gangster types talking about nothing in particular! So I wont be needing a digital copy!!

Seems odd to have a digital copy included on a "rental" dvd, are they not different versions to the retail releases?
