Hi this is my very first post in this forum, please b nice for a rookie.

I have a onkyo HT-RC360 receiver and a onkyo SKS-HT870 7.1 Home theater speaker pacakage, which includes: two front speakers, 1 center Speaker, 1 subwoofer, 2 surround speakers and 2 surround back speakers.

what I am trying to do is to switch 2 surround back speakers to 2 front high speaker. I find on HT-RC360, surround back speaker and front high speak use same channel. AM I able to do that?

The reason is it's much easier to route speaker wire for me if I can switch.

    thanks for your advise.

As long as the amp will allow you to assign those channels to either position then there will be no issues moving the speakers around.
