Wondering if I can start watching a programme whilst the rest of it records?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

One thing it doesn't do, which Sky does though: Say you're watching a program and decide to record it half-waythough? On Sky it records the whole thing, on Virgin it only records it from when you told it to.

Yes, you can. I've now got into the habit of programming stuff to record (on commercial channels). I then play back about 15 minutes after the programme has started and then I can zoom through the advert breaks. Eventually you catch up with the 'live' transmission.

That is one thing i have never tried but what it will do on the V+ box if you have left it on the same channel and it is half way through, you can rewind it to the start of the program this only works if you have not changed channel, Works very similar to sky's tracing channel.

    It's what made ITV's F1 coverage bearable... ;)
