Can I sell my Freesat card

Standard Member
I have bought a 2nd Sky+ box and thus my oldish standard Sky box I had together with the Sky Freesat card is now redundant.

Can I sell my Freesat card with my old Sky box please? Or could the buyer (assuming I had one) just telephone Sky and have them record the card as a change of address (so that they'd get updated cards etc)?

Legally, no.
Every Sky card (including freesatfromsky) carries the message:

"This card is the property of Sky Subscriber Services Ltd. and must be returned upon request"

In any event, when the card changeover is complete the old card will no longer work.

You are not the owner of the card and the user details cannot be transferred
