Hi all, I am thinking about getitng sky+ now this new offer is on and I will threaten to cancel to get the cheaper price, my question is this, if i record a film to my sky+ can i then record it to my dvd recorder?? what about box office movies???

I ask as at present i am in one of the onlive dvd rental clubs, and I will come out of that and start watching sky movies instead..

    Cheers all

There is no copy protection on the SKY movie subscription channels, Macrovision on SBO but that isn't exactly secure is it:)

Most, but not all, Box Office movies are protected and will either not record on a DVD recorder or will exhibit the macrovision protection wobblies. I've not come accross a protected movie on any other channel, but that does not mean that they never are.

    Only SBO is copy protected.

    The answer is SDI.
