can i plug a cd player in to a p60amp

    hi guys i want to know can i plug my cd player in to the p60 pwer amp and miss out the p10 pre amp for better sound might sound strange to you but iam new to this so if you can help a newbie :rolleyes: that would be most kind of you.

    I'm afraid you need a pre amplifier in the loop to take the electronic signal from the CD and get it to the level required by the power section of the amp. If your CD player has a digital output, you would need a DA convertor in the loop also.

    If the cd has a variable output, yes you can connect direct to a 60P, but I would advise against it as you would get lots of loud pops and bangs if you did.

    Use the PA10 as it is a very good pre-amp.
