I have a sony dvp-ns305 dvd player, yammy 630 amp & kef egg speakers.
Can I play all formats of SACD on this player or not?
It said that it will playback SACD 5.1 on the techtronics site that I bought it from but I have no SACD's to try it?
    Can anybody help me?

The DVP NS-305 doesn't play SACDs.

What do you mean by SACD 5.1? Sounds like you're referring to DD 5.1 or DTS.

It says on the techtronics site under the sony 305 player
    Specs-audio-SACD 5.1 playback.
I still dont understand what this means.
Does it mean it will play all formats of SACD?

the techtronics we-site is incorrect. If you have bought the player with
the intention of playing SACDs then you have good reason to take it back.

For a player to be able to play SACD in their full capacity ie 5.1, then the player
must be SACD compatible. The Techtronics web-site fot the player under
Compatibility formats does not list SACD.

There are ofcourse dual layer SACDS which can be played on your machine but
will only be normal cd quality and 2 channel only.
