Can i play bd through my toshiba 19dv556db?

Just a quick one.

2 wks ago I bought an HD LCD Toshiba(19DV556DB) Tv for my bedroom, which is great.

Do you guys know whether it can play Blu Ray DVDs as well?

Hi, you can play Blu-Ray through it via an external Blu-Ray player, however if it is HD ready, you will get 1080i performance not 1080p, (not such a bad thing on a set of that size ). I am sure you will not be disappointed with the outcome.

The TV I bought is HD Ready, has Freeview and also an inbuilt DVD player. Instead of spending more money and buying a separate Blu ray player, do you think the inbuilt DVD player will play blu ray discs?

Come on Guys, I sure someone must be using one of these TVs?
Just like to know whether the inbuilt DVD player would play Blu Ray DVDs.

No it wont play BD only dvd disks.
