I have thought about bi-amping my front Monitor Audio S8i's, and have an old Audiolab 8000A stereo amp spare.

Can I bi-amp this with my receiver to provide better quality?

The older amp is obviously non remote, so do I have to adjust the volume by hand each time?, or does the receiver control that.

    Sorrt if I sound a bit green.............but I am.. :D

Bi-amping isn't a good idea when you use different amps as they will most likely have a different gain, so when you increase the volume by e.g. 2dB on amp A the other amp might go up by e.g. 3dB.
