    Hi,
I have installed a Samsung Soundbar (HW-F355) and linked it via optical cable to a wd player. It is working well and comes on auto as soon as it senses input from the wd player. The problem is, I want to be able to have an aux in as well, and the soundbar is kind of inaccessasible, so wanting to put a mini amp for an aux-in and primary volume control between the wd player and the soundbar. I want to link the mini amp via optical cable so that I still have the auto-on feature on the soundbar. Just wondering if this is possible, and also amps that people would recommend. Sorry total newby question probably! Thanks.

You will need some sort or pre-amp or a simple mixer that will enable you to control the volume externally from the WD Player.

However, there is a WD Player App available for IOS and Android devices which has a volume control and It works decently enough with my WDTV Live player. I seldom use it though,

Which WD player do you have?
