I have the Panasonic EX77, onto which I copy camcorder tapes for editing before making a playlist and finally copying to DVD.

During this process, is there a way to delete unwanted portions of the soundtrack while preserving the visual images?

(If any kind person should have a suggestion, it's gotta be simple - because I am!)

    Hi John

I'm afraid this is not possible.

All I can suggest is leaving the audio feed disconnected when you do the first transfer.

Other than that - it's editing on a computer ... and that is no small subject!...especially when it comes to manipulating separate elements like the sound.

    I feared as much, Gavin.

Many thanks for coming to my aid - yet again.

    Warm regards to you.
