HI,
This is my first post but have I have studied many a wise word here on these fine forums.
Presently I have a Bose 5.1 where the speakers plug into the subwoofer then out into an amp.
I have just ordered Sony STRDG700 Receiver and want to use the 6.1 option, so my question is, and please excuse my ignorance if it is a stupid question, can I cut the wires before they reach the bose subwoofer and connect them directly to the amp and then just purchase and extra bose speaker for the 6th speaker. I already have an additional sub the Gemini.
I look forward to any assistance, I asked Bose if it was possible just to buy the 6.1 sub but they don't do that.
