Can I connect Zone 2 with external amplifier on 1508/588?

I am trying to get a straight answer on whether or not the AVR-1508 (588) has pre-outs for Zone 2 to connect to an external amplifier.

These receivers have assignable amps for Zone 2 for multi-room capability but in one line in the manual it also states that the Zone 2 source is also outputted through the recording pre-outs.

I have been trying to get confirmation that this indeed works as I have read threads that disprove this as well.

All I want to do is use the AVR-1508 to connect to an external amplifier for Zone 2 rather than using the amp-assignable feature to power the Zone 2 speakers from the 1508.

Can anyone confirm if the recording pre-outs output the Zone 2 selected source?

I have determined from reading posts about other Denon receivers with the same functionality that it is indeed true; the recording connections output the same source selected for Zone 2. I went ahead about bought a refurbished AVR-588.
