can i connect my dvd recorder to my pc

    hi guys <
    just wondering if i can link my panasonicdmr-es10 dvd recorder to my pc so i can utilise the 500 gb there thought it may be an option before i buy one with a hard drive on cheers :lease:

    I don't know of anyone who has done this, so I would guess the answer would be no.

    Depends what you mean by 'link'. I'm sure you could pass material from your dvd recorder to your pc by capturing it at the PC end. That would take time though and obviously isn't the same as having the recorder use the HD in your PC as if it were its own internal hd.

    That said, if you were willing to open the dvd recorder up and butcher the insides a bit, it ought to be possible. People have replaced their Sky box HDs, for example, with larger capacity drives.
