Can I connect a Freesat box to my already in use Sky+ set up?

Hi all

This may sound a strange question! I have a Sky+ subscription and do not want to subscribe to the HD service at the moment

Is it possible for me to buy a Freesat box and connect this in some way to my present set-up to try the BBC HD service etc in my area?

Thanks...

No problem - you should have a quad lnb on your dish with two unused outputs. You need to run a new sat grade coax to one of the spare lnb ouputs (both for a twin tuner freesat pvr)

It looked normal enough to me - but then, I've seen them all.:D
You could give up one of your two connections to the Sky+ and use that for Freesat, at least to try it out.

I didn't know there's a quad LNB on my dish! Strange in that it's probably a very standard thing to do:eek:

I have a Pioneer Kuro LX5090 so I think I should be sampling the delights of HD TV although I have with Bluray (Pioneer BD51 player)

Thanks for the advice. I will look into a Freesat box...:D

Yes, it is THE standard thing.
You're going to get very few - in number and quality - delights from free HD, compared to BluRay though.
