I have the Humax PVr8000T and would like to burn a programme onto dvd-r. If I were to slave the PVR drive on my pc would I be able to burn the programme as a dvd?

    Thanks

The PVRs use "odd" disc formats so nothing on the PC would understand the Humax layout. You can, of course, play something out of the Humax SCART and into a DVD recorder but this will involve a step down to analogue (hopefully RGB) and can only be done in realtime.

The only UK PVR that allows direct transfer (via USB) to a PC for burning is the Topfield 5800
