    Hi all,

I am getting confused about DVI on my new Plasma. Does anyone know if the Hitachi PD5200 can be connected to a DVD player via DVI without issue i.e. regular DVD Player and regular DVD's?

    Thanks in advance.

    Boom

    Hi,
I cannot comment directly on the Hitachi 42PD5200 but I have the 42PD5000 and this is connected to my Denon 1910 via the DVI link. I cannot get 720p working well, it seems to offset the picture. The 480p is useless but it works perfect when set to 1080i.

Does anyone know why 720 does not work?

    Cheers

    Bob.

I think it because it not compatible with [email protected] but is compatible with [email protected], as this is a 1024/1024 Alis panel, your better off with 1080 interlaced anyway

As for Boomboom's question, sorry to be over a year replying but I have my 5200 connected with a Supra HDMI-DVI cable and it works perfectly :D
