I've just bought a new DVD player and when I play a DVD I can hear the tv very low in the background. It never did this with my other DVD players and the connections are the same. It is by scart from DVD to tv. There are no other receivers.

I can only think it is something to do with connection? The DVD player came with audio leads but I'm understanding that it's either you use them OR a scart?

The DVD player is a Samsung E350.

Thank you for any help. :lease:

Buy a better fully screened scart cable. This is normally down to cross talk between the scart audio in and the scart audio out connections. The TV tuner will be outputting it's audio from the scart socket. You can try tuning to a blank channel first before watching a DVD.

Thank you do much for the quick reply! What an excellent idea tuning into a blank channel which had worked! But yes I will get a better scart lead, I have a few so will test them later and let you know.

    Regards.
