    Hi...

I have a Cyrus 3i integrated amplifier which is no longer being used.
I need a power amp for a new AV system.
Does anybody know if it is possible to use the Cyrus 3i as a power amp?
At the moment i can turn the Cyrus 3i volume up to 50% and use any of the inputs for a crude imitation of a poweramp. Im slightly hopeful in that there is a VI input for use with the Cyrus AV processor of the time....
Its old kit but a shame to see it gather dust if it can still be useful.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi t-c i have a Cyrus AV system

    Cyrus AV5 processor
Cyrus Q power Rear Left & Right
Cyrus 3 Front Left & Right
    Cyrus XPA Center

Cyrus recomend that if you turn the volume of any integrated Cyrus amp to 2 o'clock
your amp will be gain-matched to that of any Cyrus Power Amp
as shown in page 11 of this manual manual

The automatic gain-matched VI input is only available in the Cyrus 5 and above.
All this is, is when you select the VI input and have ether a Cyrus AV5 or AV8
conected the volume will turn up to 2 o'clock automatically.
    I hope this helps.
