The model no. is for black, it says silver in the 1st description, and black in the 2nd. There is NO silver 6 series UK stock left, none at all, and AFAIK Julian Richer owns all remaining 6 series in black. That might be a 7 series? Imports from Europe are OK, but it'd be rude not to say so at time of sale. Different warranty rules apply in theory, but in practice this doesn't happen. They are equally poor to all!! That's a good, expensive video card they are offering, will offer useful connections. I've been offered this combo as a 7 series from a large distibutor, I guess it's most likely to be a UK stock 7 series, in which case why don't they say so!

thanks for the info. never knew buying a plasma would be so difficult. theres so many options its difficult to know you getting a good deal especially when my knowledge is little. reading through posts has made me more confused than when i set out. was ready to buy the samsung PS42D4SXX from curry's earlier til i started doing some research on the net. posts put me right off!!
From the threads ive read it seems clear that on a budget of £1500 ish the panasonic 7 would be a good bet.
I would like a glass unit instead of wall mount and some sort of warranty would be good (3-5yrs), as long as it comes ready to accept sky and a dvd player and maybe xbox i will be happy.

please can anyone suggest somewhere to get this?

ddi you read the post i linked to? AV-sales can supply silver screens, input cards, extra warranty, stands, the lot give them a call sounds like PWD7 in silver with a Quintro and scart card is what you need pick a stand and extend warranty to as long asyou want i suggest 3 years total (+2 years)

Quintro has 5 scarts, you don't need the tuner, highly undesirable object. Best to spec. everything in 1 hit, boards are hard to buy separately.

as you have sky tuner would be a waste of money ~(big waste) as MAW said Quintro lets you connect 5 scarts (4 RGB) to the single scart card in panny (at £120+ each very nice way to do stuff) What will you use for sound?panny ahs no speaker in the price £250 for panny clip matching ones but for £400 you can have a pio VCXS402 AV amp and speakers (Tannoy FX5.1 or Canton CD1 fora few ££ more) much better than what the Toshiba in a box system being offered, see the thread i linked to above, Long but includes all you ever need to know mate........

to be honest mate the deal from novatech as linked to in first post seems pretty reasonable. have been i touch with AV for the PW7 and i would be a minimum of £2000 i reckon. as far as i can understand it anyway. atleast the package offered has everything included to get me up and running straight away. i can always upgrade later on cinema system etc. from the posts ive read there seems to be little noticable difference between the 6 & 7.
if anyone has any good reason why this aint a great deal please say now!
I want to order one quickly as cash is burning a very large hole already

    im sure you understand

Check the many web-retailers on pricerunner... Either that, or try Kelkoo's search as well...

I think even Sevenoaks beat AV sales on price, unless there is likely to be a sudden update on pricing, as the new price point seems to be sub £1350 for the 7-series Panny's now...

    £1500+ is sooooo last week....
