    Hi everyone,

Looking for a 46"/50" tv (LCD or Plasma). Used to watch sports and also to use with a ps3.
Had bad experiences with led backlighting so would prefer something else.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks :)

LG 50pk590 plasma has lots of fans especially for gaming although does suffer temporary image retention. Most LCDs seem to have have high(ish) lag this year

Thanks for your suggestion, i'll try and find it in a store for a demonstration.
I have noticed alot of talk regarding lag on lcd's but I never really seem to notice it. Just a casual gamer really :)
Also started looking at the Samsung le46c750 as it seems theres a few good deals on them.

For a 50" tv the PK590 is great. I use it for Sky HD, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2 and Wii (the wifes honest ).
It does have slight IR from long gaming sessions or in my case fireing up a game and falling asleep for a few hours part way though a gaming session :boring::laugh:.
Motion is fluid and great for football, gaming is very responsive and the image looks amazing. There is a high number of calibration options to give you the best out the tv. I've nearly calibrated this set and it looks stunning.
If your not interested in calibrating yourself there is 2 THX options, one called THX Cinema, the other THX Bright Room. :smashin:
